I'm full of questions today. Has anyone here dealt with Dixie Gun Works? I'm looking at a Pendersoli kit they show but I've never heard of or dealt with them before.

Is where I bought both my Traditions Crockett Kit and my Pedersolli .32 Cub kit .
I was going to buy the .36 caliber Scout rifle in the Pedersolli.
But my wife wanted .32 cal and the Deluxe model with the brass patch box

I've dealt with them multiple times for BP, cartridge, kits and parts. Never a problem and they shipped promptly.

I bought one of their kits in the early 1970s. It resides it the closet. Unfortunately not finished, nothing wrong with the kit. it was just above my skill level at the time. They have been around for a long time. Someone may have more resent experience with them.

They are good to go. I dealt with them quite a few times. Good folks on the phone and with orders. Go ahead and order without fear. I cant remember (and dont want to) how much money i gave them in the past years. They have been around a long time.

I bought a bunch of stuff from them when I first got into black powder 50 years ago. Built 3 rifles. Recently I bought a carbine rifle rear sight from them for a ‘73 build. Met the owner Turner Kirkland in 1973 too. Good folks.

I've used them, and even bought a Uberti replica 1873 Winchester rifle from them, and sundry miscellaneous BP items over maybe 30 years. I'd say that their prices are a little high, but then again lots of what they sell isn't available elsewhere. Their annual catalog is good for many hours of entertainment and well worth the 5 bucks.

Get their catalog, full of a lot of information. Been getting stuff from them for about 50 years, just ordered a spring yesterday.

Good folks, been dealing with them for @45 years or longer. I even met Turner Kirkland once at the Little Rock Gun Show. I don't do internet shopping; just print out their form, fill it in and mail 'em a check. Response is in almost 4 or 5 days.

Great company, and are about an hour north of me, I've bought parts for a Remington model 1858 revolver, and Black powder on several occasions.
The place is like a museum, love to visit. Cannons, Gatlin guns on display, plus literally Hundreds of old BP rifles, & swords.
Not to mention all the stuff they have for sale.

DGW is good folks, but just be aware that they are very short-staffed these days - which leads to a longer waiting period for shipping.

Also, some items may be very slow (or no longer available) in coming to DGW from their vendors - due to them also being short staffed (or out of business due to COVID-19)

Sooo, just be patient.

Dixie Gun Works has been around longer than the Internet, had a catalog and mail order in 1960's (maybe before?) if I remember correctly. Good place to do business.

One of the oldest suppliers in the business. The catalog is worth having in itself, reminiscent of the old Herter's catalog.

Kind of a new outfit....if you compare them to say....Hudson's Bay.....

I believe Turner Kirkland started Dixie in the mid or late 50's. Get their catalog, as waksupi said, it's worth it. I don't know anything about the kit you're wanting but I can't imagine you'll be disappointed with Dixie.
