    Merrimack Ballard

    Anyone here have experience with Merrimack Ballards? Did they have a one piece breech block?

    No, the Merrimack was also a two piece split breech block. They were only made two years 1867-68, and were rimfire/percussion dual ignition system. They were offered in .22RF, .32RF, .38 Long and Extra Long, .44 Long, .46, and .56-50 Spencer.
    Like all the previous Ballard makers before Marlin they too went bankrupt trying to successfully build the Ballard rifles for Schoverling, Daley, and Gales.
