    FR8 + lead - noisey but accurate -

    Corona arsenal FR8 purchased from Century arms in the 90's [ $99.00 iirc ] shoots 3 shot clover leaf groups from front rest at my clubs 50 yd. indoor range - Winchester .308 case , CCI lr primer , gas check hard cast bullet unsized from Lee C309 160 R mold + 16 gr. RL7 -

    I have the same rifle ,love shooting it with cast , jacketed bullets not so much. and for peep sights surprisingly accurate.

    do you use SAAMI or Nato miltary oa case length specs - i use the .308 specs so i can use the same CB loads in commercial rifles - just wondering if Nato specs would improve already great accuracy -

    I like to shoot cast bullets with my FR8 when plinking and target shooting. But for hunting, I prefer jacketed bullets, I have taken hogs and deer with it.
