    Trying These

Just ordered some small pistol primers from here:https://zincpoint.com. I talked to them on the phone and they seem to be nice folks and located here in the states. The primers are made in Brazil. I only ordered a 1000 and am going to test them out and let y'all know how they work.

From everything they have told me they are just as good as any primer from Russia or Europe. We Will See.

Probably will prove to be just fine. Mag Tech ammo is made in Brazil, good ammo, and they use Brazilian primers.

Eager to hear. I've been waiting for this trend to pick up. I'm willing to bet these type of import primers are going to be making a big splash in the next couple years. I'd buy them. I burned a good 20K of the Russian Tula primers. Definitely not CCI's, but for $22 a brick they were winners.

In handgun, I will never buy another Russian primer. Far too many failures, missing anvils, missing compound. No thx. Besides, no one should buy anything from Russian manf.

you have been lied to about the russian ukrain deal, i would buy every russian primer they want to export over here. one day soon a lot of people that only listen to the msm will come to the understanding that they have been a shill.

Looking forward to a range report ACC. I guess the days of getting a brick of S&B on sale for $20 at Cabella's are long gone.

Is there a ban on Russian primers being imported since the sanctions?

These primers are made in Argentina. A couple months back, a forum member ('Nueces' - who happens to reside in Argentina) reported that there appeared to have been some manufacturing issues with earier production but the last ones he purchased were good to go. I ordered some from zincpoint Thursday evening, order shipped Friday afternoon, UPS tracking says package will be here on Tuesday (06/21).

As far as price, after checking 'major suppliers' like Brownell's, Graf's, Midsouth, etc. for updated MSRPs, it looks like $80-90 a brick (+sales tax, shipping, and hazmat) is going to be the 'new normal' when (if?) U.S.-made again become widely available.

So far as I can determine, there's an import ban on ALL COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS OR COMMODITIES originating from Russia. That means if it were manufactured, mined, or grown in Russia, no matter how many hands it's passed through in the 'supply chain', it's a no-go.

I thought Russian primers were banned in 2014.

I have used the Tula brand primers in the past, had no problems what so ever.
Actually I believe I still have a couple hundred lr rifle on the shelf.

I have been using Servicios Y Aventuras primers in 380 auto and 38 spl, no misfires or problems yet. Loaded and shot about two boxes.
