Back when I still had a 44 used pretty much whatever brass was found on the range. Only brass not used was Hornady as it was noticeably shorter and would need die adjustments whereas all the other (RP, FC, WW, PMC) were interchangeable as far as case length was concerned.
I shoot only cast bullet loads.. I rarely sort brass.. unless you are running fmj and max pressures/max loads.. it matters less... any case'll do.
I have been using Starline 44 mag brass for 12 years with countless reloads and only had 1 split.
