Tang Sight for R92 Round Barrel?

So I’ve been bitten my the lever-bug….

I installed a Skinner Peep to use as a ghost ring for close work, but I’d really like to add a tang sight for the deer woods.

    I have 16” round barrel, 92 in .45Colt.

What tang aight should I get AND will I need to drill/tap for a front screw?

    Thanks all!

Lever guns are great fun. A tang sight on a rifle with a 16 inch barrel is kind of unusual. They're usually used on rifles with longer barrels, and flatter shooting calibers than .45 Colt, considered a sight for long range shooting. Your Skinner ghost ring sounds like the ideal sight for that caliber in the deer woods where the light level may be low, and you'd find most tang sight hard to get on target under low light conditions. However, there are numerous tang sights available, and many used ones show up on e-bay. I don't know of a tang sight specifically made for that model. Some will require two holes to be drilled and tapped into the upper tang. Although I personally own about a dozen lever actions, none of them have tang sights. I've always found them to get in the way when shooting off hand, not when in the prone position, which brings us back to their long range intent.

    Marbles makes one.
They also have the screws needed to install it.
    Metric rear and SAE front.
    Who woulda thunk that combo.
I have the Marbles tang sight and wish I had installed the Skinner, but if I had, maybe I would be wanting the tang sight.

For whatever reason I was NEVER able t shoot a group with their buckhorn sight.
Got decent group with 358429 and 4227 after the tang sight was installed.

I have that Marble's tang sight on my R92 and like it. 45Colt. It is windage adjustable. For hunting, just remove the disk, and you have a ghost ring.
