Thread: Anyone anneal handgun brass?

    The only pistol cases I have annealed are 44 Magnum when split necks appear. Splits are trimmed back to 44 Special length and the rest of the batch get annealed. This is done for two reasons:
    1. Range pickup 44 Magnum cases are seldom found at the ranges I visit.
    2. When I began loading 44 Magnum in 1965, brass was expensive and I didn't have the funds to spare.
