How many bazillion dollars did pay for the primers? It better be a bazillion or I'm gonna be real jealous.

I'll get a few more pics later. The cheapest price I saw (that was still readable) was $1.39 for a pound.

$50 a thousand for the primers. He had just sold 30,000 small pistol primers. I missed those, damit!

Wow thats a nice haul and an instant collection. Got some discounted powders in this lot. Let's hope all the powder is still good. If you come across a square tin of Hercules Green Dot and finsh the powder, I'd be happy to take it off your hands.

Some of that stuff looks pretty old.
You need to get some of us older guys to test samples of it to help determine if it's safe so you don't shoot your eye out kid.

    Congrats!

I’ve got a bunch of primers of that vintage, folks tend to be concerned about them, but I’ve never had a dud.

Wow, H-5066, shot up the last of that many years ago. Also good for keeping the "skeeter" away!

    I'm 68 so I am "older"

And your to late, I've already tried some of it. That 5066 was about the oldest I think, so I loaded up some 44 mag with 7.5 grs and 429421 boolits. They shot just fine. Shot them in a rossi 92 at 50 yards accuracy was good for a quickly thrown together load.Click image for larger version.

    Wink

I couldn't find that $1.39 one, I already have it stored in the powder cabinet. But in my moving cans around, I managed to break the seal on a can of the 5066, I guess that I might as well shoot it up now, gosh darn

Someone asked for pics of the prices. There were other little price stickers on some of them but the price had faded. He wrote a purchase date on a lot of them and most were bought in 9/67

I wonder if the 68' and 76' elections influenced his purchases? Saw primers were purchased in Sept 75 and powder in Sept 67.

I made a big component purchase in Oct 2016 thinking the worst. I am so glad I did. I remember talking to a guy in the mid 90's that told me he bought a few thousand dollars of components before Carter got in. I remember the 76' election but was only 8 yr old at the time. Carter lost by a landslide in our 2nd grade class election.
