3 inch 12 gauge testing this weekend

Well I tried the same powder wads and .310 buckshot I had poured
27,28,29 grain charge weights 16 pellets each stacked by twos covered in bpi original
Ctps wad trimmed 1/4 inch off slit four time left around half inch from bottom
I also tried these at 65 yards but forgot to get a picture results for that test is below
27 grains only had 7 pellets on target
    28 had 8 on target
    29 had 11 on target
It was the furthest I have tested still not very happy with the results but will try again!Click image for larger version.

That’s a factory full rem choke the pictured target is right at thirty I didn’t get a picture of the 65 yard target it was dismal results, I have loaded a few more but slit the ctps wad about half way down this time hope the pellets will stay in there a little longer.

Try your mod choke. You could be over choked. I got buckshot loads that perform better with a mod than full.

Or get a Kicks Buckkicker choke.
