    Bigslug - I think you would enjoy a book entitled, "Misfire". It is a very readable book about the U.S. Ordinance Corps over several generations. Your conclusions fit right in.

    I own a copy. After reading it, you will forever facepalm on seeing any ad that touts a small arms product because "it was selected by the U.S. military".
