Let us endeavor so to live that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.

I saw that photo once before. Bubba's ingenuity knows no bounds!

Speechless here…
that welder is just like our doctors, just practicing
I’d buy it and grind it smooth and have a sweet truck gun!
Bill Ruger would have that Bubba horse whipped!
I've seen a rifle with welded rings. Was on I believe a .300 Weatherby Mag.
Guy could not keep the rings from shaking loose and losing zero.
So he had he gunsmith weld them to the action. From what I heard it never lost zero again.
Looked a lot nicer than that job though.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.
Get right with the Lord.
Get back to the land.
Get back to thinking like our forefathers thought.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
and give you His peace. Let all of the earth all of His creation worship and praise His name! Make His
praise glorious!
The good thing is, should be easy to undo! I seriously doubt there’s any penetration with those welds whatsoever! Lol
Long, Wide, Deep, and Without Hesitation!
I once welded a set of cut-down rings to a spare SKS bolt cover, a decade or so ago. Works great, got the scope axis low enough that I can maintain cheek weld, and I offset it a bit to conform to my face, so the red-dot is right there when I mount the rifle.
Cognitive Dissident
Someone wanted a scope REAL BAD to take advantage of the Mini14's accuracy

Hell hath no fury like a Ruger scorned.....
Now I lay me down to sleep
A gun beside me is what I keep
If I awake, and you're inside
The coroner's van is your next ride
What he used? A Weller soldering iron? Poor SKS.
The SKS follows the rule " Modify the $5 part, not the $500 part" perfectly.
The Mini-14 in the OP.......uh, no.

I have seen some weird stuff come into the shop but nothing quite that bad. There was a Ruger 44 mag carbine that came in with at least 18 bullets stuck in the barrel. It only holds 4 in the mag so the rifle had to be reloaded several times. Second to last shot extruded into the gas port. Story was the owner let his brother shoot it and they had light loads for a pistol. The ground was wet so he could not see where the bullets were going. I made a new barrel for it.
Probably works as good as Bill Ruges did but not as pretty.
