    Pocket 9mm?

    I don’t follow semi-auto of the week! I’m a revolver/Contender guy.
My summer carry gun is a Ruger LCP. Just wondering if anybody makes a 9mm suitable for pocket carry?

We have a couple that could be considered as “pocket” semi’s. We have a Khar, seems very reliable once broken in, as Khar suggests several hundred rounds. We didn’t experience any malfunctions during the suggested break in period! My wife doesn’t like the trigger pull (long and a bit heavy) though I can deal with it pretty well.

My wife bought herself a Sig 938, a wee bit larger but a great trigger pull for a small handgun! There is also a 22 LR upper you can buy for the 938, which offers low recoil, relatively low cost practice. The upper is “NOT” cheap! memtb

I have a Springfield Hellcat. I carry mine in my sweat pants pocket in a pocket holster at home (my 45 Auto is very close too) and have no problems. With the flat base mag it holds 11 in the mag. Is easy to shoot, has a reasonable trigger, 3 inch barrel, sights easy to see and I can do decent with it at 50 yards offhand slowfire and up close it makes me look good in reasonable fast shooting since I dont practice the machine gunning game with a handgun. Just enough to be able to protect myself. I carry a 45 Auto as a primary carry gun I am of average weight and height so no need of a "pocket gun" as a primary carry gun.
I love my Hellcat. I have a Glock M48 that is very nice too. It is a 4 inch though.
    Check out the Hellcat.

The only pocket 9 that I have personal experience with is the Kahr CM-9. It is the smallest "pocketable" concealment 9mm firearm that I have used. I found it to be just a little too small for me, but reliable, I had no malfunctions in shooting up a box of Winchester 115 JHP. It is lighter, cheaper, slightly shorter than the Hellcat and slightly thinner, but it only holds 6+1 rounds versus 11+1. It also only comes with one magazine. That may be important to you if you plan on missing a lot and never reloading. To me, having carried a J-frame anything over 5 rounds is a blessing.

I am considering a Hellcat in my future, albeit not as a pocket pistol , due to the excellent accuracy I have seen them produce. Several guys at the gun club have them and do enviable work with them, but for now, my pocket gun remains the Ruger LCP, which is small enough to be indistinguishable as a gun and is much lighter than either the Kahr or Hellcat.

To be honest though, for CCW, I mostly carry revolvers in an IWB holster, usually a Colt Agent or Cobra, but when it gets sweaty-hot. I break out a Model 60. I have over 50 years experience with round guns and I like the "6 (or 5) for sure" aspect, as well as the skills and habits long practice has produced. I carry a reload or two, but as a strictly civilian gun carrier these days I can not envision any realistic circumstance that I may find myself in that would require me to fire my weapon empty and then reload it and empty it again.

Most named guns can be pocket carried unless one wears skinny jeans.

I have a Ruger LC9s Pro. Wonderful trigger and easy fit in my pants pocket. I admit I do not carry it with a round in the chamber. While the LC9s is no longer in production the it's successor the EC9s is the same size.

I have a hammerless Airweight in .38 - great carry piece - I often forget it's in my pocket.

Ruger Ec9s is my carry gun. It is a bit heavy for a small pocket gun but it works every time flawlessly with my hand loads and factory equally well. The little sucker is accurate too.

This one. My wife has the 9mm and I have the .40S&W. Fits in the hip pocket. The narrowness is appreciated.

Sig 938 is my pocket gun. With a proper holster, it disappears in my front pocket
