    Reloading 300 Winchester Sort Mag

My question is, do you think Large Rifle Magnum primers would give stable ignition?
    (Should read SHORT Mag!)
    Thanks

I'm currently messing with a 300 RSAUM and I'm only using CCI magnum rifle primers based on the data. Does your data call for magnum primers?

I got in and out of one a few years ago.

I used Winchester LR primers that say they're good for standard or magnum loads.
They did just fine for me.

I wouldn't have used a primer that didn't say they was good for magnum loads though.

My oldest son has shot his 300 WSM for years, we've used a variety of load components. I haven't seen much difference between magnum and standard large rifle primers until he gets to around the 1000 yard mark. Then.... insert variability!!!!
Winchester large rifle magnum primers win with this particular rifle / shooter / cartridge combination.
    Out to 350-400 yards - haven't seen a spit's worth of difference.
Fun cartridge to reload, from 110gr to 185gr. Very accurate, very deadly.

Edit: I have a 300 SAUM AR-10 also. I can't say it's been any different. Just maybe a bit more picky with load tolerances.
