Gave a couple nice ones to my eldest.....

My old S prefix 5" Model 27 and that 1955 minty 870 with the walnut furniture and corn cob forearm. He drove back from PA because i was hospitalized after having a couple GM seizures. These were apparently after effects from the stroke I had last September. He is a good lad, graduated from Michigan Tech with a nearly 4.0 gpa in mechanical engineering. We did some walleye fishing while he was home and it made his mother quite happy to have him visit. I won't miss the iron but i will miss him.

Treasure the TIME spent. The iron will be his reminder of those times and will make him smile.

I always say we are just temporary custodians of our stuff anyway.
