Yep. Then in the front legs are 4 3/4"holes will modify the press so the front bolts down too. a sliding table on pins will allow a larger range of work to fit. I wont be limited to the press opening

Sounds good! I'm presuming that is for a 3-ton arbor press? I've got an import 1/2 ton, might be oldish Harbor Freight, or perhaps no-name, but it's been invaluable for the 20+ years I've owned it. Not that I wouldn't like one bigger, but I've so far been able to live without one. I've been considering buying one of the HF 20-ton hydraulics, but space is tight. For a while, I could use the one at work, and used heck out of it, but that evaporated with my job when Covid-19 knocked out most of my former company's business and my job. Now I'm just playing. Got to use a 3-ton in my machining class I completed yesterday. Can't use that one anymore, either. FTTC is going to drop the night adult classes for machining, as of last I heard. Dang it!

Finished welding up the stand today. Primer paint and 2 holes to drill left here it is with the press sitting in place. Bolster plate is 32" above the floorClick image for larger version.

Looks like a sturdy, well thought out design. It should work great for the purposes you had in mind and will probably be used more as opportunities arise. It’s amazing how jobs come up that need a tool you’ve built (or are the jobs suggested by the capabilities of the tool?)

    Congrats on a fine project.

Looks really good. You should get a lot of use out of it, and your heirs and assigns after you.

    Nice work!
I have a little 1/2 ton import, I bolt it to my mill table when I need to use it.
I have a 20 ton press and the best thing I ever did was add a HF air over hydraulic jack.
I use it for extruding lead wire and with that jack it squirts like toothpaste!
