    1886 carbine

    Building an 1886 carbine for a customer and needed a barrel/mag band. Never
    seen one before so looked at one I had on hand for an 1892 and made one bigger.

    Very nice workmanship. What are you going to do for the front sight? I've got an 1873 (Uberti) that the sight is dovetailed into the band.

    Most of the other Winchester carbine sights sit behind the barrel band. The customer sent a hooded sight for his rifle. It was a bit low so the rear sight had to be changed to compensate.
