    .308 700 yrds!

Good morning, essentially this is a thank you message.
In my country, reload costs have gone up a lot. Two years ago I decided to put my hands on lead, buy the equipment and start casting my own boolits for my Mauser.
I have learned, I have asked, and I have read many publications to repeatedly hit a target at 640 meters on Sunday.
Thanks Duane, Larry and many others who selflessly have read and replied.
I have repeatedly hit a steel gong at 700 yards with my 308 cz.
I have used S&B brass necked through a lyman M die. The boolits were lyman 311466, aluminum gaschecks, crimped with a .311 die lee
Then I made them pc and then lubricated with orange magic and passed them through a 309 sizing die.
At the muzzle of the rifle 2530 fps on average.

Then the happiness of hearing the gong.

    Thank you all!

Paper targets aren't your friends. They won't lie for you and they don't care if your feelings get hurt.

    Congratulations!!!

I don't know of anything more satisfying than hitting targets at long range with cast bullets.

Good on ya…. distance and a roll your own, is indeed quite satisfying.
