I suppose when I use up my two Chronys I'll have to go looking myself. 2-3 years ago I bought the hype about the LabRadar, but I never got it to work at all. I was an engineer before retiring, and yes, I read the instructions. It never saw even ONE of the bullets I fired downrange. I'd put it up for sale, but I have my scruples.

Iíve got the more expensive Magnetospeed and an older pact chronograph. Just got the Magnetospeed this past winter. Iíve had the pact for at least 15 years. Iíve probably used the Magnetospeed more than the pact just due to the simple setup. Iíll still keep the pact for archery use. I was really interested in a Lab radar until I saw itís limitations in velocities and bullet sizes. I have several .17 calibers and a few guns that break 4000 fps. These are both limitations to the lab radar from what Iíve read.

The niche for Lab-Radar in my experience is at public ranges that do not allow anything in front of the shooting station and the ability to work with a variety of hand guns or rifles .
I would not have spent the money on one if I still had a private range to shoot at.

I was happy to ditch the screen chronos and thoroughly enjoyed the MS Sporter enuf to sell it and upgrade to the MS V3. For most rifles any MagnetoSpeed version is hard to beat on many levels.

I loved my Pro Chronys, had 3 of 'em, they all got ventilated eventually ... I LOVE my MagnetoSpeed, it don't hardly ever get in the line of fire.

Just to let everyone know I ended up ordering the Magnetospeed today. The picture above was one of the main reasons plus my range has very little level ground. Thank everyone for all the comments and opinions. They were very helpful. With some gift cards I had and free shipping it cost me less than $150 on Amazon.

I've got two and never used either one. Never liked the idea that I might hit one. Did not like setting them up on a tripod either.

Maybe I need to sell them and put it toward a Lab Radar fund.

Look at the Magnetospeed. I went that way for the exact reasons you pointed out.

I have had several over the years and for my needs the basic Caldwell is all I need.

If installed properly they will not move. I use mine with full power jacketed .338 Lapua Magnum loads. Very nice Chrony.
