    35 Remington

    Hello,

I was at the range today trying out a bullet makers product: https://www.mattsbullets.com/

Using a Marlin 35 Remington to fire Matt’s 205grain Flat Nose, Gas Checked bullet, sized at .359, I got some very satisfying results.

    The load:
19.0 Alliant 2400 with a Wolf Pistol Primer and the use of the Lee Factory Crimp die.
Velocity was 1610 with an SD of 26 for a four shot group.

Here is the target at 100 yards.

My first attempt was with 20.0 2400. That load was far less accurate and only increased in velocity to 1680fps.

Note: managed to mistakenly show the powder load as 16 in the first picture uploaded….now I can’t seem to correct it. It is the actual target, but it should read 19.0.

try using a tuft of dacron in your loads. it werks!!!!!!

    35/30-30
    200gr rcbs fn gc
    20.0gr of 2400/tuft of dacron
    100 yards sighting it in

i shot 3 or 4 deer with it. my longest shot was 53 yards and the 4pt went about 15yards+/- till he gave up the ghost.

after the shot, 20-30 yards is average.
