Well, my 1937 Mosin Nagant is pretty badly muzzle worn. I need to cut a new crown. Anyone have a hand tool for this they would like to sell or rent?

i did the brass round screw and valve grinding paste myself. you could try it, and if it doesnt work, you wont be out much, besides time.
I may try that. Thanks

A RCBS case chamfering tool will rough cut it easily. Then polish with the brass screw and lapping compound. I’ve done dozens of crowns this way, works for me.
I think the key is the figure-8 with the drill, and rotating the barrel a 1/4 turn every 15 seconds or so. Makes it really hard to linger in one space too long, and thus makes more even.
i thought about the rcbs case chamfering tool, but then I thought about the Lee case cutter. You could even make brass pilots for any caliber to go along with them!
Before you get too far into it, slug the muzzle. There's no sense spending a lot of time on a barrel where the last two inches are wallowed out from shooting over muzzle grit accumulation.
