    RCBS 55000-series dies

Is 55000 their generic number for custom dies or something? I've just been coveting a set of .442 Webley dies with this part number, but when I gurgled it to see if I could find them, I got odd items like a set for .22 Oresky. I've seen the factory label on the box printed .44 Webley and #55000, so I know it's not an error. What gives?

You are correct. 55000 was the catch-all number for molds out of the custom shop

That's what I was afraid to hear, but not unexpected. When I saw .22 Oresky, I pretty much knew it couldn't be a catalogue item. Thanks ca_reloader.
