OP, you dislike the current situation, as do we all, but the problem is not the availability of powder generally, it’s your inability or unwillingness to do what it takes to buy it while others are able and willing. It’s the free market at work, so stop blaming “them” and start figuring out how you can solve your problem. You might start by posting a WTB or at least being specific about what you’re looking for instead of avoiding the question.

Sorry if this offends, its tough love day at my house.

I suspect right now that a lot of brass is being made to fill military orders for every kind of brass case you can think of. Price of copper is up 130%, record highs right now so if you find new current production brass it's going to cost you more than it did two years ago. I just got a some Lapua 220 Russian and some of their 22-250. Paid over $1 a case for it but it is available.

We have powder around here and #209 primers. No other primers seem to be available yet.

Another term of full Democratic control of government and everything will be as hard to find and as expensive as reloading components. There hasn’t been a good Democrat since Truman.

I know I have one full box just like this and the sticker price is $39.99 and at the time I thought that was way high but they were -uuh, very special primers?
if this is the new normal I dont want any part of it.

there is actually a bunch of powders available and prices are up a bit but not crazy like primers.
search the big guys like, Grafs, midsouth, powder valley, midway, gibrass. dealing with them at least you will not be getting scammed.
in addition you can now buy direct from hodgdon, all of their powders including winchester, imr, and western powders, web site shows what is in stock. and its starting to look like brass is becoming more available, starline might have some stuff and is taking backorders on some.
you just need to look around online at reputable sources

Yes things are trickling in but the prices are crazy and shipping has also skyrocketed. I guess none of this surprises anyone.

The manufactures are selling completed cartridges to the 6-10 million " new gun owners " that are shooting (100)+ each month. So they don't have any reason to make for the reloading community. The inflated market for finished cartridges is to profitable to step back from.

Both Brownells and Midway have Titegroup currently. First I've found in 2 years.

I don't think anyone answered your actual question, at least as far as I read. I believe the correct answer is that for the most part, the manufacturers can make more money selling boxed ammo than components.

Don't forget that Remington wasn't producing any ammo or components for quite a while there. I don't know if the ammo plant is up and running even yet.

It's the free market at work. Hate if you feel you have to, but it's the prime reason you have the standard of living you have today. Adam Smith was not wrong.

Remington has been up and running for at least 6 months and their ammunition is available.
