Those Activ shells- We called them the "heat-seekers" and would bring down a pheasant from way out! Fond memories of those- thanks for sharing!

I load the air soft bbs in my standard 1 1/8 oz AA load. No recoil and not much speed. Not enough weight to build pressure. Fun, but not much range.

There is no problem so great, that it cannot be solved by the proper application of high explosives.

Still sitting on about 5-600 of the Activ 20 and 12's. Even have a bag of their red wads for heavy 12 gauge loads. They were popular for loading heavy duck and goose loads in the pre-non toxic days.

I managed to acquire some of the Ative 12ga. and I like them. Wish I had got a bunch of them when the were around. At the time I only used AA and RXP.

Wow... really blows dust off the brain cells.

I remember using and reloading ACTIV's. They ran well in everything we had, and I loaded a bunch on the old MEC 600 jr.

I also remember boxes of Remington 2 1/2" game loads in 410 priced at $1.97 a box at K-mart. We couldn't believe how cheap they were, so me and my buddy bought all they had in stock. We shot them all up in the family heirloom 410's.
