    45 ACP Case Berdan primed

Reloaded a bunch of .45 ACP cases today and found One case of foreign manufacture with "Berdan" primer hole instead of Boxer. This could be a common thing, but the first time I've seen it.
What's Your say about this ?

I've never seen one, other than the aluminum Blazers.

Head stamp seems to be Arabic, which I'm unable to read. But does have "45 ACP" stamped on it.

Some other countries have used 45 ACP as a service cartridge; I believe Brazil was one of them.

If you fired the factory-loaded ammo in your gun it would be a good idea to treat it as corrosive. Corrosive .308 that didn't look military or old was imported from South America in the 90s; I don't remember what type priming it had.

Is the Arabic symbol a Browning Buckmark? I'm not sure where Brownings been sourcing there's from.

Vietnam era French for M3 greasegun is corrosive and Berdan, but hot and accurate.

Back in the early 70s a lot of the surplus 45 ACP ammo was Berdan primed. I don't recall the country of origin.

Argentina .45 acp Berdan and non-corrosive. I think this dates to the early 1980s. I know I bought a few boxes.

I find a 9mm or two now and then, never a .45acp that I recall.

The large primer aluminum were Berdan for sure . The small primer aluminum I have are boxer and I have reloaded some multiple times , target loads with H&G BB68's. Kinda cool, 'cause no biggie if I lose 'em !

Usually when I work through a 5 gallon bucket of mixed range brass I will find a dozen or so berdan primed brass. Most are 9mm but I have found a few 45's.

I had some 25 round boxes of .45 Tracers in the 1970's that were Berdan and from either Brazil or Argentina. I'll see if I kept one for the cartridge collection.
