Oregon Technical Services at 800-223-5168. They should be able to help with any available cross references.

"742-0738" has been "superseded" to "942-0738".

    https://www.partstree.com/parts/cub-cadet-742-0738/

    Nevertheless, here's your part ($22.26)>>>> https://www.cubcadet.com/en_US/blade.../942-0738.html

made a few calls and found out the blade is no longer available. i will drop the blade and go to the cub cadet dealer and try to find one that is same width and same cloverleaf shaft hole. it will be longer; but a nice project to shorten it and re balance.

All jokes aside, check Ebay with the superseded part number.

The 4 point star center is a standard MTD blade patern. Any oem or aftermarket 18" MTD should be fine.

MTD used to make some of the riding lawn mowers that sears sold. Needed a transmission belt for my sears riding mower. Well it seems that Husquvarna bought out the other company that also made riding mowers for sears. Giy did the cross reference and had the transmission belt. Checked with e-replacementparts.com and they had the mower belt. And when it came in, yep you guessed it was made in the USA and sold by husky. I have two spare mower blades to replace the ones on my mower.
Looks like fun and games time. Frank

Gates has a BladeRunner series of belts that can be crossed at many auto parts stores.

May take longer than usual. Been waiting on a starter housing from "PartsTree" for over a month! They finally shipped it! Keep us updated.
