    WTS, Remington #2 Rolling Block

For sale; .32 Extra Long center fire, 26" octagon barrel. This rifle has been converted from rimfire to center fire at some time in the past.

Wood; in good refinished shape. No big dents or gouges. All butt stock surfaces are proud of the metal. The fore end surfaces are slightly low of the metal. Right side of fore end has a very small dent along the top edge next to the receiver.

Outside metal; Nearly all edges are sharp as new. I think it was a real good brown gun that had all surfaces cleaned (with a carding wheel I think). Now it's a gray gun. Sights are un-molested. All case hardened surfaces have the typical surface after the colors are gone that looks like fine pitting. Screw slots are slopped but easily within peening/refiling slot to restore. There are some very minor dings on the end of the block and hammer pins from poor removal technique. The butt plate has a couple nicks where it looks like an attempt to cut the screw slot wider got out into the butt plate. Having said all that, this rifle has really good wood and metal. Patent date stamping on side of receiver is pretty light as many are.

Bore; quite worn and pitted, looks better from the front. I have shot it but my eyes are past their "use by date" for iron sights. I got a ~2" group at 25 yards off hand on a sunny day when I could keep track of the gleam of the brass on the front sight. The next time I shot it was drizzling and I could not keep track of the front sight down in the notch and it was more like 4"-5". I do have about 20 cartridge cases formed from .327 Federal and will also include 100 of the correct Ideal 299154 heel bullets cast 30:1.

Price is $600 plus the ride. This is an antique, made by E. Remington & Sons. If your state allows, I can ship to your door.

Sells to first firm "I'll take it" plus pm.

    Funky, thanks for the bump.

Gard72977, it is not chambered for .327 Federal, the .327 brass was reworked to fit the original chamber.

Bigboy2, .32/20 is too large to fit .32 Ex Long chamber

Rifle is SPF to Jim22, contingent on confirmation of legally shipping an antique to individuals in the State of Washington.

    Thanks to all that looked!
