WTB / WTT for .38 Special roll crimp die.

Like the heading says, I need a roll crimp die for the .38 Special. Needs to be in excellent or better condition. Really would like to have one of the Redding Pro-file crimp dies. What say you, james

Most of the seating dies have a roll crimp in them!

delta, You are 100% correct about most of the sweating dies being roll crimpers. However, I crimp in a separate step and I like to have a die just to roll crimp. Thus I am looking to buy or trade for one. I already have a taper crimp die and now only need the roll crimper die. james

Take the seating stem out of a standard seating die and you have your roll crimp die.

But then he'd need to trade something for a seating die.

Most likely this is wanted for a progressive press. If you have traditional dies you need another seating die to use for just crimping or the profile crimp die to separate the process. The profile die costs around $35 new. I’m in the same boat when loading 38 special but have a crimp die for all my other calibers.
