    Pre-patched bullets available anywhere?

I know how to apply paper patches and indeed have done MANY. But, I had purchased some bullets with patches pre-applied, and done beautifully, from Blue Falcon Bullets a couple years ago. When I went to reorder recently I found out that he had retired from the business.

Anyone else retailing bullets already-patched, and with good quality?

Montana bullet works sells them I think. As much as I like shooting them, You couldn’t pay me enough to do it for a business. I suppose if I came up with one of those fabled sharps Patching machines I’d do it.

Montana bullet works has informed me they no longer produce paper patched bullets. I am in the process of reading the book, " The Paper Jacket" by PAUL MATTHEWS. I have reloaded 45-70 ammo for a Marlin and Ruger and now have a Henry lever, 45-70. I would like to try to see if I can paper patch bullets and see how they do. Do not mean to intrude, just thought ya'll would like to know

I'd rather cast and patch my own slicks. That's all part of the PPB Way.

A good read for PPBs is Randy Wright's "Loading and Shooting Paper Patched Bullets".

I know I’ve seen them for sale in the past, but don’t remember where.

    Toss Matthew’s book.

Randy Wright’s PP is the definitive source book on PP.

Randy's is the best I've seen so far, and I've been through lots.

I've emailed with Randy a few times, great guy, and have noted to him there are a few things he'd left out - slick composition ("pure" lead, or alloy lead:tin percentage) and patch rhomboid angles. Bore wipers may have come on the scene after publication and would have been an appropriate addition. I think that for a pilgrim to the PPB Way, going powder/wad/PPB would have simplified things a bunch by dropping the grease cookie process, or running that second to no cookie. IMHO, those changes would make for a stellar PPB tutorial. Yet still, Randy's book is the best. YMMV.

They have the swaged bullets, templates, and paper; no pre-patched bullets.

I believe you are right. I guess I misread the description.
