Winchester 1897 Experts, question for you

Had to take apart one of my newly acquired 97 and found this metal tab on the mag tube near the front. It was missing one of the tiniest screws I’ve ever seen. Looking at parts and schematics can’t find if that’s an original part or not. My other one does not have that at all.

That is a magazine takedown band bushing, 2 screws required, original part number was 15097.

on further review all the google searches i'm looking at is not that part,

This isn't under the band at all, take a look at the tiny part to the left of the tube, and again the smallest screw i've seen. The barrel band screws are larger with a unthreaded end at first then threads near the head.

    Anyone else?

This is a stop that screws to the mag tube so you can still turn the mag two but the mag tube won’t fall out that little metal piece bumps up against the barrel band you can call it a retainer

If this is a takedown version what That did was make it so you could not take the gun apart Or at least that’s what it looks like my 97 doesn’t have it but from the looks of it where it’s at that’s why it was there keep somebody from taking the gun down

I just acquired one, and it looks like it's part of whatever holds the corncob forearm onto the mag tube. It looks like there is some type of ring under the forearm. I couldn't get it off to clean, so did the slow spin and wiping method.
