I have 1 pound of H4227 in my closet and no idea why? I have never used it in anything. MUst be because I am a scrounger.

I’ve never found anything better for stout 45 Colt loads. I can get more velocity from H110 but not nearly as accurate. I’ve played with 2400 also, but 4227 is still my favorite

It works great for cast GC loads in a 44 mag rifle.

I'm using it for 44 Magnum, under a 240 Grain SWC. Lyman starting loads shoot great.
