JC Higgins Model 30 Extractor Plunger

I acquired a JC Higgins Model 30. Unfortunately it came with a bolt that did not contain an extractor, extractor spring, extractor plunger or retaining pin.

I have not been able to find an extractor plunger anywhere. Does anyone have one?

Last time I looked Numrich arms showed some in stock a while back.

Been a bit since I looked, but if memory serves correctly there are 2 styles depending on the year. I’m on the road at the moment but if my brain cells connect when I get home I’ll look when I get home

There were a couple of writeups on this over on rimfire central

Did you cross reference store brand to manufacturer? The Numrich catalog usually has tables to determine who manufactured the different JCHiggins, Westernfield, Revelation, etc. models.
Usually the only differences on store brand models and the original models were of cosmetic nature; meaning that the internal parts were the same.

Yes, I tried that. The rifle was manufactured by High Standard, but that model was never sold by High Standard under its own name.

Numrich does show it. Scroll down to Not Illustrated. The Plunger Retainer is available, the Spring Plunger is not, when looking at the Model 30 page.

I suppose if you wanted to buy the complete bolt assembly, its $75.
