I've used 13.5 grains of 2400. It's a little below max, but shoots well in my carbine, and in my revolvers. Crimping to the top groove allows feeding in both.
I've used 2400 and Unique in the past, but not in carbine. Nowadays I use AA#9, and it shoots well. My load is well below max, because I subscribe to the idea that if range is short (100yrds or less) than I don't need a straight-as-string trajectory.
