    bullet size with GC ?

My Ruger 77/44 has a groove diameter of .429". Is it ok to have bullets sized at .431"-.4315" with GC's ? I know that with my other guns my Plain base bullets are .002" over. Just not sure about doing the oversize thing with gas checks.

No different with or without gas checks. Should shoot well as long as they will chamber.

What about if the bullet was fired from a revolver as in a 44 magnum or 357 magnum with a bullet sized .002" over with a gas check.

Shouldn't matter. With revolver, you want the bullet to just press through the cylinder throats. Not to big and not too small.
