    Cool old mould. How about a shot of the bullet cavity? Is it smooth enough to cast a good bullet? The 38 WCF was a real popular round for matching Colt (or other) revolver and a Winchester or Marlin rifle. One bag of ammo fit both… a real bonus on the range and away from town!

    Agreed. Those cavities should clean up easily, just go slowly and avoid opening them up too much. One nice thing about using that mould would be the knowledge that any original 38-40/38 WCF rifle or revolver will probably do well with them. That was the original bullet design for all of them. Good find!
