No, I don't and it is always very accurate out to 50 yards, I can't really use sights beyond that. I try to avoid fillers whenever possible, best to keep things simple. I may try kapok sometime, but I doubt I would get any better results at the short distances I shoot this rifle. From what I can tell, the fast to medium burning pistol/shotgun powders ignite easily and are alot less likely to need fillers than actual rifle powders. I have no interest in using rifle powders in .45-70. I don't need any higher power level, the recoil level goes up, and large powder charges are not cheap.

I use one ¹/⁴ square of cheap single ply toilet paper as filler in my loads, seems the majority of it burns up in the 14" of barrel and the roll I bought is enough to load many many rounds.

be aware that putting a piece of tissue over powder can cause ringing of the chamber........I was using a tiny piece of tissue paper (one ply of a tissue),and in 200 rounds extraction got sticky .........Id never heard of ringing before that ,now I know all about it .

The Uberti rifle is what I want - or something close to it. I have a Henry single shot in .357. It is a fine rifle but too big and heavy for a waalkin around rifle. My Marlin 1894C is shorter and lighter. Uberti had a great idea with their Baby Rolling Block.

But it appears they are no longer being made. Five lbs weight and 35.9" in length. Ideal. I would put a peep sight on it. A walking around rifle doesn't need a scope but my old eyes need some help.

I see there is a US company making a similar rifle. Just can't remember. If I remember right they are bigger, heavier, and more expensive rifle than the Uberti.

If I remember right Ruger made a short run of their Number 3's in .357 Magnum. But because the run of #3's in .3527 mag was a limited edition they are considered to be colllectable. If I remember right Ruger called the edition the 'California Highway Patrol'. Or some such thing.

I have one of those... really nice wood. and LIGHT... I think it is lighter than my .22 single shot

I've got mine for sale (Canada) as I have never used it. it cannot be reamed to Max unless the barrel is pulled, and I am not sure the strength for that anyways.

I lucked into a little Uberti Roller not long ago at a local gun show. It has a little Bushnell 4x scope mounted. Don't know how much it weighs but its pretty lite. I don't do any woods walking anymore but it would make a great gun for what is being discussed here. I've shot 38's and 357mag thru it and it is a blast to shoot. I think my 357 loads were the most accurate. I was shooting the Lyman 358480 133gr over a mild load of Unique, and at 50 yards my metal targets were no challenge to hit. I got to shooting at my bowling pin targets aiming at the very top and rarely missed. If you ever come across one of these little #2 rolling block copies they are well made and mine is very accurate.

Latest project with John Taylor. Another Green Mountain Gunsmith Special, 10-inch twist, 16-1/2", chambered 9mm NATO spec, muzzle threaded for can. Integral bases machined in barrel for M1 Carbine rear sight and M14 rifle front sight. Weight 4-1/4 pounds, 32" overall length.

The old Remington #2 rolling blocks are common in .32 RF, maybe pick one up and convert to 32-20 with a block and chamber reamer or if the barrel is bad bore it to .38 spl? I got a converted .32 rf #2 and it's actually a lot of fun to shoot.
