Primer seal looks similar to WWII military contract 9 mm with same style of headstamp. It came in white boxes with "Winchester" in lightning writing. I put some of this 9 mm through an Owen SMG in school cadets about 1960. Lead bullet suggests NOT military, although Australia had some S&W M1917s in WWII. Uncle in 2/2 Machineguns (Vickers) was issued with one. Ammo was scarce - Court Martial offence to waste .45 ammo.
