    Sig Romeo 5

The dot in my romeo5 red dot is not symmetrical , there is a small tail coming off of a small dot on the lower right at about 4:00, anyone have similar issue with their Romeo5?

Pretty much everyone with astigmatism. It is a known issue with all red dots except true holographic sights.

Extremely likely it is your eye and not the sight. Unless you have perfect vision with no astigmatism, you will see the dot as something other than a true dot.

Oh my goodness I just had the best laugh over this thread!! I was trying to sell a buddy on an extra Aimpoint that I had. He said that it was broken because of a blurred dot which I couldn't see before or after. I scheduled myself a optho appointment after that experience!!!

The farther forward you mount the optic, the better the dot will appear to you...

I’ve been shooting red dots for about thirty years or longer. If you have an astigmatism it will look like that. All mine do. Surprisingly, it makes little or no difference using the sight. Just use the big part of the dot and ignore the “tail” or extra dots (some people see more than one dot).

Well my Romeo 5 died before the first shot. Got on the phone with Sig and first had to determine if it was a fake. Whoever is faking a $118 sight needs a new business model. 3-6 weeks to get it back.
