ReM 700 detachable magazine fit

does anyone know if Remington 700 detachable magazines for long rifle or long action magnum will feed plain ole 270 win or 30-06.

I'd go to Brownell's or somewhere that sells them.
See if they have different part numbers.

You can call Brownell's and talk to a gunsmith who can answer your question or you can go to their web site and talk to a tech there. You can get an answer from them without much problem. I have used them several times. james

there are definitely different part numbers. ive comes across a couple magnum magazines still in sealed pkgs, and thinking if they won't work in my 270 I'm better off selling while still in sealed pkg. any rem detachable mags they are pretty difficult to come by.
I'm thinking the lips are bent different or something the rest of the dimensions are exactly the same

I have a standard long action magazine and a magnum magazine but no magnum rifle. Both magazines feed 30 06 fine you have to look close to see the difference one has feed lips curving slightly farther in although i cant remember which. It wouldnt surprise me if the standard wouldnt feed the magnum cartridges, they must make the different mags for a reason but as far as i can tell the magnum is just as good to feed standard
