I did the tumble lube for a while really thought I could do better
so I bought a pc gun and although a different method the results were night and day different
the boolits turned out so much better and coverage is total and what ever color you use
is full and complete no more splotchy, freckled looking boolits
try it once and you will never go back

That's the single reason I still tumble coat most of my bullets. As shown in above post I PC the entire HP bullet and the same for gas check bullets, but there is no practical way to spray a regular bullet without having either the base or nose left bare.

I'm on a budget (and cheap). Can I use a tire compressor with the HF unit?

A small air compressor capable of providing a steady
minimum constant 1 cfm at 5-8 psi is required.
I usually find that about 15 PSI is much better
The air supply must be completely dry, and the use of a moisture trap
or desiccant system is strongly recommended.
