Shooting a gas checked bullet without the gas check

I am really new to bpcr and bullet casting. The rifle I bought came with a mold that makes a gas checked bullet. I don't want to shoot gas checks. Can I shoot this bullet without the gas check installed and will it effect accuracy/performance? The bullet is a 280 grain 38-55 and I am loading with black powder.

    You can with no problems.
The only thing may be when sizing lubing the gas check area may get lube also but a simple paper pr card wad between powder and bullet will keep ot away from the powder.
