I just get anhydrous lanolin from Amazon. It's cheap, and it sure beats having to shop at several local stores to see what they have.

As much as I prefer to spend money locally instead of supporting the massive Amazon beast, this is one instance where it makes more sense for me to get it from Amazon.

IIRC, the last batch I got was from one of the vendors here, randyrat. It’s been a while since he posted, but it might be worth checking out. At one time he was sort of the “go-to guy” on this forum for all things for lube making… I got a bunch of both lanolin and carnauba flakes from him several years ago and am still working out of what I got back then.

I bought lanolin from randyrat also but it was over a year ago. I dissolved(?) some in alcohol to use as sizing lube. I prefer to lightly lube handgun brass before sizing in carbide dies. Takes less effort for an old guy if there is a lot of sizing to do. I don't know if it is normal for some lanolin to precipitate out of the alcohol as it sits around or if I tried to dissolve too much. I just shake it up and start using.
