    More hats with pics please!

Ok, I’ll admit it. I’m all hat and no cattle when it comes to cowboy hats, but I wear what I got!

My match hat. Picked it up off the prize table at my first ICORE match. Worn it at every match since. It started as the standard navy and silver S&W cap. We’ve both seen some hard miles. It’s still in question which one of us will die first.

1908 pattern cavalry hat made by Miller Hats in Houston. Being a TN hillbilly with no cattle, I bought this one to wear to 8th Cav reunions and gun shows. My wife says I look like a dork, but that does not sting as much once you pass 70. Photo has 8th Cavalry Regiment tie.

I only have 2 Cowboy hats
I have a 20+ year old Stetson that I got as a birthday present
I wear it when I want more Class than a baseball cap

I also have a mesh covered cowboy type hat
    It is camo
But I use it for summer fishing to keep the sun off my head
It also helps keep my head cool

Yup same type mesh hat, think it is a Panama Jack. Think it kinda resembles more of an Aussie type though after all these years. Have a spare from when we had a vacation place in Florida. It just fits me. Have a similar type without the mesh, but just wear my mesh one majority of time except winter. Then it is either a pull on cap or my furry one like poppy42 has.

I started with an Agsco sunflower seed hat about 1965. Harvest was done, now was time for plowing. Back in those days tractors did not have cabs.
Dad came to check on me about 9:30 AM, grabbed his handkerchief and wiped the seagull poop off my face. Told me to have a cup of coffee and warm up. And that spare hats were behind the seat.

So I went back out after he'd made one round, seen every mistake I'd made, and quizzed me about them.

Then he showed me how to tighten the hat in the back. I climbed onto the tractor, looked at the cloud of maybe 150 seagulls swarming all over the field but especially right by the plow. Grabbing every grasshopper, mouse, etc.

When dad relieved me for a round before we broke for dinner he came back with a grin on his face.
"You did not make a single mistake!"

Yeah, and I did not have to worry about seagull poop hitting my head or my face either.

Been wearing them every since. First thing on in the morning, last thing off at night.
Somewhere around 55 years of wearing them. I have a fairly impressive collection. But mostly for the last 5 years its been 2 FishoFlauge hats that have had the duty. They are different, unique. And I normally have a Fishoflauge T shirt on below the hat. Crappie, Carp, Walleye, Redfish.

In 5 years I have not seen a single other person wearing Fishoflauge. Unique, I like it.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.

    Get right with the Lord.
    Get back to the land.
Get back to thinking like our forefathers thought.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
and give you His peace. Let all of the earth – all of His creation – worship and praise His name! Make His
    praise glorious!

Miller Hats in Texas makes the campaign hats worn by USMC drill instructors, Virginia State Police and West Virginia State Troopers.

You got that right. My dad always wore the same kind of hat Frank Sinatra wore...way back.

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.
