TN brook trout stocking begins tomorrow

this will be new for me, streams are scheduled to be stocked tomorrow. in past years ive seen folks with stringers full. might try my luck at it.
ive been told all I need is small weight, small hook and canned corn.

Never fished in TN for trout but I think the basics are universal in any stream for trout while bait fishing. Make sure your weight(s) are heavy enough to keep in contact with the bottom. Also make sure you have enough distance from your weight to your hook so it presents your bait in the strike zone. Good Luck!

Wonder if these will acclimate and reproduce in the streams chosen?
Guess it time to get my duckduckgo foo up and going to see what I find on TWRA'ssite.

Come on now. Get out a fly rod, Copper John with a small indicator and have some real fun. Stocked Trout just don't taste right for me.
But, they are fun to catch. Having water cool and fast enough to support trout is hard to come by these days. Let Mr. Trout get the treatment he deserves.
“You should tell someone what you know. There should be a history, so that men can learn from it.

He smiled. “Men do not learn from history. Each generation believes itself brighter than the last, each believes it can survive the mistakes of the older ones. Each discovers each old thing and they throw up their hands and say ‘See! Look what I have found! Look upon what I know!’ And each believes it is something new.

The Caney fork, below the dam, is the place to fish. Need good waders. Waders that leak are no fun, don't ask me why I know. A 1/8oz yellow auger tail grub on an ultra light spinning outfit will probably work well.

    Good Luck,
    Rick
