    Ideal-ly Cowboying

Okay, it's Capandball the excellent Youtuber from Eastern Europe not Gus from Tejas; but it's open fire casting and loading in an Ideal and shooting 44WCF in an 1873.
The first purpose of the Second Amendment is too often overlooked, fostering a liberty of mind and action necessary in the people of a free republic.

Excellent! Thanks for sharing this, Landy88 as I would not have found it myself. I notice he didn’t mention the oft lost decamping spud and if he had actually heated up the tool for casting, I can’t believe he would have held it with his bare hands like that... but cowboys did have gloves, didn’t they? As long as I’ve been familiar with the old Ideal tools, this is the best portrayal of using the all-in-one tool to go from casting to shooting Thanks again.

    You are welcome Froggie.

I, too, thought that he did very well placing the all-in-one tool in its original context, longitude aside.

Shooting 400 yards with a 44WCF is a bit of a stretch, and that tiny ladle was better suited to balls for a .32 squirrel rifle.

You're too right about the decappers and dippers dissolving into the ether. Lee case gauges and dippers can restore functionality at insignificant cost, except to period correctness and ste completeness.
