Powder Valley has 8# jugs of 3031

Was tempted but passed because it would be out of balance with my primer supply. Now if it had been Unique or 2400......

I just saw that. very tempting. If I was absolutely needing powder or If they had a jug of 2400 to go along with it I would not hesitate . but I've got more powder in that burn rate than primers to shoot it all off.
what I found surprising is how many different powders midway and mid south have. maybe things are starting to get back to normal.
but they all have about the same prices running from $30-$50lb

You gotta wonder about Alliant though. Are they just busy making powder for ammo manufacturers or is it something else?

Was by a LGS today. Had Universal clays @$54/lb. Bought some last week at our farm and ranch store for half that.

My local favorite GS is at about 35 ish a LB with a decent selection. Not everything for sure but it seems to coming back a little. We have seen it before I am sure we will see it again.
We do have one store that I absolutely can not stand is still at mid Covid prices for everything (loaded) I hope they sit on that stuff forever.

And Vista Outdoors also does not manufacture gun powder unless they own the two powder producers here in the USA !
