    45 colt balloon head cases

    Good Evening,

Well I finally got around to doing something I have meant to do for decades. I took my 1873 repro revolver and the old 45 balloon head cases I have been hoarding for decades because I just wanted to see what the original 40 gr. FF and 250 bullet felt like to shoot. They do hold a full 40 grs swiss FF. Well I ran 15 rounds through the revolver and it was great fun! Only shot one shot over the chrono ..... 907 fps. out of 4 3/4 barrel yet. I have now been there done that. If I shoot more BP loads I'll just use solid head cases with a little less powder.

I am at a point in life that I need to start getting rid of stuff. I will not be using these cases any more. If any of you gentlemen want them and you will pay the $10 for a small flat rate box I'll send them to you.
PM is the best way to reach me. be patient I don't check this every day.
