Speer #8 and the 22 Hornet (pistol)

Got to love some of the wisdom in the older manuals. In the Speer #8 under the .22 Hornet (Pistol) talking about muzzle blast. "Be especially sure the gun muzzle is outside the car window before shooting"

I love the days before political correctness

We used to shoot whistle pigs out the window of a truck when I was a kid . Wasn't unusual to see a vehicle on the side of the road glassing a field or hillside looking for a shot .

I had a Thompson Center pistol with K-Hornet barrel. Shot a lot of Gophers with that one, many out the window. It was plenty noisy doing it too as I loaded them pretty hot with 1680 and Nosler BT's.

I shot my TC Hornet ONCE without hearing protection. That was enough for me.
