Cleaning Baked Powdercoat From Sizing Die?

I had a double coated boolit get jammed in my sizing die. It easily punched outwith a small piece of wooden dowel.
But before continuing to size more boolits I checked the die and it has a little powdercoat residue in it.
I'm not sure what is the best cleaner to use to clean the residue out of the die?

If running another boolit through it doesn't push the residue out, or rubbing it with the edge of the dowel--

Wipe some solvent with a rag or paper towel on the boolit that came out.
If a solvent or thinner will soften and/or melt it-- should be a easy fix with a wet patch on a bore brush.

Here is what worked this time.
I decided to use the most healthy choice to start with, Ballistol on a Q-tip cleaned the die right up with little rubbing after I let it soak about ten minutes.

I'll keep all of your suggestions in mnd should I need them in the future.

    Again, thank-you for your help.

Remember PC is pigmented ground plastic dust that a hears back and bonds once heated up. Anything that will dissolve plastic should work. I think you got it.

Ed's Red Bore Solvent ... Look up the recipe if you haven't a batch made up .
Great stuff for cleaning anything . If you are into healthy you don't want Ed's Red Bore Solvent ...it was developed before healthy was invented ... it has the evil acetone in it ...

Acetone or laquear thinner + 0000 steel wool lightly. Takes PC off dies, oven glasses, and oven racks easily.

I would use bore solvent and a bronze bore brush.
If that cleans it up, I would puts Flintz on a rag and give it a polish. This makes sizing a lot smoother.

Try MEK if you can find it. Acetone works to remove incomplete cure PC, which it appears that you have, but cleaning the die is only a small part of your problem.

Shooting improperly cured bullets can leave the same PC residue in your barrel. Check your oven temperature and it's ability to hold temp, get a glass Taylor oven Guide Thermometers, which tells you the air temperature inside the oven, but not the temperature of your bullets. Timing starts when the last bullet come to temp.

Mix 12 ounces of 99% Alcohol (available at auto supply stores, used to remove water from fuel) with one ounce of pure Lanolin to make a spray lube. Lightly spray ( a little goes a long way) your properly coated & cured bullets before running them through the sizer and they will glide through.

Good luck & post for help.
