Neat! Is that a kit or are you building from scratch?

    .

It looks a lot like a Numrich boot pistol - nice work, John.

I don't know anyone making kits for a boot pistol. I started with a barrel from Jim Carpenter and made the rest in my shop. Many years ago I saw one with the ring hammer so made that from memory. Trigger and hammer are made from an old truck spring. Wood was supplied by a stock maker customer of mine. He said it was scrap that he was planning on burning. Main spring is from McMaster Car. Trigger spring is a coil compression spring and plunger in the trigger. Very simple to operate but not so simple to make.

That would look good laying next to a Frank Wesson rifle.

20" in a 45, are there plans for a muzzle loading devise for non spherical projectiles?

Patched round ball with light loads. This pistol is for a young lady. I'm thinking loads will be around 20 grains, don't need much to punch a hole in paper. Low velocity requires a faster twist.
