WTS Ponsness Warren 800B in 12 gauge

    Hi,

I have a nice 800B that I don't need. I picked this up several years ago with the intention of using it. Took it completely apart for a thorough cleaning(it had been unused, sitting in a basement for a number of years), got it back together and started getting it sorted out when I stumbled onto a 9000G for an exceptional price. I've been using MEC's for 35+ years so the 800b got put on the back burner.

It's time to move to somebody's bench that will use it. It's a shame that it's not being used, it really is a quality piece of hardware. I'm just so used to the MEC's, I don't need the complications of a single different brand when I have MEC's in 12, 16, 20, 28 and 410 with all the associated charge bars, powder bushings and spare parts.

I'm giving it a try here to see if there is anybody local that needs a great loader. It does need some fine tuning, I did load some with it, the press is close to being setup but not out of the box perfect. I considered sending it out and having it tuned up properly, don't want to go through the shipping hassle AND having 2 progressive 12 gauge presses. I've got a big shop, but I don't need to turn into a pack rat.

Well, more of a pack rat than I am about reloading stuff.

I printed out the manual, that's included.

Semi-local pickup/delivery from 48159, south-east Michigan. Call it a 125 mile semi-radius from 48159. No Ontario FTF. Even being half Canadian, I don't want to deal with the border carting reloading equipment.

    $400.00 Cash.

Dragging it back to the top.

Had one PM from someone who wants to look at it. He's not in a rush, 120 mile round trip. He's going to kick the tires next time he is down here.

If the tires are still here.

    Anybody else interested?

And yet again to the top, with the added carrot of enough stuff to load your first 10 boxes of shells.

250 primers, 250 wads, enough powder and shot for 250 rounds with 250 Winchester AA hulls.

Can't beat that deal with a stick.

Why, there's enough stuff there to make you the next trap shooting champion of the Galaxy

Nobody wants to be the next trap shooting champion of the Galaxy?

    I can't believe it.

Getting dangerously close to moving to Craigslist. Somebody NEEDS a fine press.

And I need bench space. And more double secret gun/beer fund money.

Don't have time to do a Craigslist ad, so another ride up the hill.

Hope to sail today before the blizzard arrives and buries the bay.

Somebody PLEASE! I might have to buy this. Great price BTW. Can the 800s be converted to 3"?

I have no idea if it can be adjusted to do 3" shells. Another thing to check when I'm in the shed.

Apparently not much interest in this loader locally, I may have to figure out how to ship this beast.

Obviously the powder and primers would NOT be shipped. Don't need that drama.

Anyone here ever see a conversation to operate the PW press with your feet? Not hydraulic. Basically one foot pedal takes the place of pulling the handle the other foot replaces pushing the handle
This leaves your hands free to insert shells and wads
I am one gun away from happy

Like hooking it up to a unicycle? That would be awesome. Get my exercise in and reload at the same time.

But it would look a little weird going down the road

And a free ride to the top while you guys try and get THAT image out of your head.

The 800 is available in the 800B/C, 800 Plus and the 800LS. The LS will load 3" hulls.

Just think about an old grey beard riding a unicycle while loading shotgun shells. Then reach for the eye bleach.

And let's go slaloming back to the top of the hill.......

Nice press, I have a 375 and don't shoot enough to need the 800.

You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who they think can do nothing for them.

Yes, it's a very fine press, haven't looked into shipping yet.

We have ice and I'm going to use it until it turns soupy.

    Think Ice!

    Or meet somewhere in-between, I haven't been to Jaqua's in a while.........

Or you could join me on the ice, Toledo isn't THAT far north Marengo.

Got ice for today, probably pull the boat this afternoon. 40 mile an hour winds tomorrow could send the boat and the plate of ice to Canada.

One buddy had to retrieve his dad's iceboat via softwater boat when a plate broke off and headed for open water.

Did I ever mention that iceboating is the dumbest sport ever invented?

Looks like I've got a taker, now to arrange the meeting.

He didn't sound too enthused about going hardwater sailing though.

Replenishing the gun fund is a good thing
